Latinos and Latinas in the United States are not a homogeneous group of people. We comprise twenty different cultures bound by a common language that, when spoken, sounds different to the ears of the listener. Our various cultures are bound by the pain of leaving our homelands to come to a land where our dreams and hopes are often suppressed because of racial and cultural discrimination. Our cultures came connected by a strong faith in God. In Jesus Christ, God binds us all to believe that there is a state of promise where people of all races, cultures, and orientations will become one new humanity in Jesus Christ.
